Most Recent Update: 6/12/20
Dear Church,
We have some exciting developments!
Governor Murphy has lifted all numerical restrictions on outdoor church gatherings! We have been praying and asking God to open doors for us to meet, and we believe firmly that this is an answer to prayer.
Therefore, in anticipating the favorable forecast, we are returning to normal service times for this Sunday.
Looking ahead, we are hoping to enjoy outdoor services as often as we can. This is primarily since we can have unlimited number of attendees and visitors, while staying socially distanced. However, this will be determined by the weather on a week by week basis.
When we must move into our building for weather reasons there are certain guidelines that we must follow:
- There will be a limit of 50 attendees per service
(in order to attend you will need to sign up via website or notify us via text)
- We will have the building cleaned and sanitized
- Adherence to social distancing and face masks
- There will be no Sunday School or nursery just yet
As you are aware, getting New Jersey back on its feet is changing on a weekly basis. The previous restrictions on indoor worship services may be changed or lifted at anytime under the direction of the Governor.
Stay tuned to the texts, emails and announcements on Sundays and Wednesdays.
Thank you for your faithfulness to God and His church! There are many causes both political and social with which we can identify, but there is no greater cause to which we can identify than Christ and His Church!
For His Cause,
Kendall Park Baptist Church

Update: 5/30/20
Dear Church,
We have some great news.
Mayor Kramer from Franklin Twp. and his Public Safety Director have both agreed with our proposal to begin meeting outdoors this Sunday evening (5/31/20)
at Rt. 518. This is provided we follow the guidelines authorized by our Governor:
- 25 people exercising social distancing of 6 feet or more, can be out and about on our property at Rt. 518.
- The first 25 people to arrive can choose to enjoy this privilege.
- These people will be encouraged to bring their own lawn chairs. Limited chairs will be provided.
- They will be encouraged to bring their own mask and wear them with the exception of the speaker.
Additionally, note these guidelines and instructions for our meeting:
- We are permitted to have an additional number of people in parked vehicles separated by 6 feet or more with windows down to listen to the service. Please follow the parking attendants' instructions when you arrive.
- There will be no food exchanged or social contact with others; please refrain from physical contact for the time being.
- Our elderly and immunocompromised will be encouraged to exercise discernment regarding their attendance.
One may ask, "Why now?" or "Why meet together?" The church, while made up of individuals, is called to assemble. We all desire safety as instructed by government leaders (Romans 13), and we desire to obey the command of Scripture to assemble and worship (Hebrews 10:25). We believe using outdoor gatherings as permitted by local and state officials will be a transition to meeting once again in our building. This Sunday evening our focus will be:
- Worship
God by singing His praises and studying His Word.
- Watch
God strengthen and encourage us as we patiently wait to get back to normalcy.
We want to strongly encourage you to come meet with us.
While this format is not the same as what we enjoyed for so long, we believe God allowed our regular assembling to be taken away from us to help us appreciate what we took for granted.
For the foreseeable future, we will continue live-streaming Sunday morning and Wednesday evening services, but we will meet on our property at 5pm every Sunday evening, weather permitting.
This is a fresh start, a new beginning, and we are excited to see you soon!
In Christ,
Kendall Park Baptist Church

Update: 3/18/20
Dear Church,
As we have been monitoring the latest updates concerning COVID-19, we want to update you on the latest measures we are taking as a church.
Because of our Governor’s recommendation of no more than 50 people in any area, and our President’s recommendation of no more than 10 people in social gatherings, we have decided to cancel our in-person services until further notice.
Things are quickly changing, and we did not want to make a decision too rapidly nor wait too long.
Going forward, we plan on live streaming three services each week.
Sundays: 11am & 6:30pm
Wednesdays: 7pm
We will begin our live-streaming at 7pm Wednesday, March 18, 2020.
We will hear a challenge from God’s Word and have a time of prayer.
While we will not meet together physically, we believe technology allows us to hear God’s Word preached regularly and consistently. Therefore, we encourage you as a church body to tune into our live stream either on Facebook or watch archived messages on Youtube. The link to both platforms are posted below.

We are working to make livestream more accessible directly on our website, and we will be sure to update you as we improve our capabilities in the coming days.
We encourage our church to still
be the church
during this time. While our ability to assemble is not possible at the moment, the church can continue to care, witness, give, and pray. We still are sending our missionaries support, and taking care of our local responsibilities during these difficult days. We encourage you to utilize our online giving platform through our website (

In the coming days, we will be updating our members on how they can minister to the seniors of our church as well as those with special needs. We encourage you to make some calls and encourage one another in the Lord. As pastors, we want to let you know that we are available to help as much as possible during these difficult days. We have added our phone numbers to this update so that you can reach us at anytime.

Update: 3/13/20
Dear Friend,
In recent days, we have been closely monitoring Covid-19 and its spread here in America. At Kendall Park Baptist, our goal has been to reach our community with the truth of Christ and to help families grow in their faith. This necessitates having a safe and secure environment when we gather to worship, conduct activities, and meet together for special gatherings.
In response, we will not have any public services on Sunday, March 15, 2020.
The recommended counsel is to use this time to evaluate the implications that the coronavirus may have on our KPBC family going forward.
The CDC has advised that this is an ever-evolving situation, and going forward, we should be ready to take necessary steps to mitigate the implications of the virus. Therefore, we invite you to tune into our livestream broadcast at 11:00am on Facebook or watch later on our Youtube channel. There is direct link to our Facebook livestream and Youtube channel below. Pastor Brown will be addressing the situation and be speaking from God’s Word.
If you need assistance with this helpful technology please contact Pastor Josh; his contact information will be posted below. You may also give with our online giving portal through our website (www.kpbc.net).
Going forward, the New Jersey Department of Health website
(www.nj.gov/health)
affirms there is a low risk of exposure to the virus. However, we want to let you know the steps that we are taking to make sure our church family is protected, secure, and safe in the following weeks.
First, we are continuing to monitor the latest developments and instructions from the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). We have attached the link to a web page from the CDC website that gives specific instruction on guidance for safe public faith-based gatherings as well as hygienic protocols.1
In compliance with the CDC, we advise that you follow standard hygiene practices to stay healthy. These practices include washing hands frequently, using hand sanitizer, covering your mouth and nose when you cough or sneeze, and avoiding contact with sick individuals. A detailed list of hygienic instructions directly from the CDC can be found in a link below.2
Second, we are increasing our actions at Kendall Park Baptist to increase safety and health. In the following weeks, we would ask that folks refrain from physical contact as much as possible if and when we resume regular gatherings. While we want to show that we are a loving church, we ask you to do this with a smile, a wave, or verbal greeting in the place of any physical contact for the time being. We have also purchased hand sanitizer stations which will be placed strategically in our building, and we ask individuals to utilize them frequently. Additionally, we will be sanitizing our toys in the nursery regularly as well as doorknobs, doorhandles, and hand rails. We will be increasing our cleaning measures in all public areas in the foreseeable future.
Third, if feeling ill, or if you are immunocompromised, we would encourage you to stay home and watch our livestream on Facebook (@KPBChurch)
or sermon upload through our Youtube channel. Also, if you have traveled from any regions where there has been a greater exposure to the virus, or have any concerns regarding exposure to the virus, we ask you to self-quarantine and follow CDC guidelines for such scenarios.3
Let’s pray for those who have been infected by coronavirus and ask God for protection to our church family. While safety and precautions are necessary, remember that God has not given us the spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). While we seek to utilize the resources that God has given us to mitigate the impact of this virus, God has instructed the believer to not worry or be anxious about the uncertainties of life (Philippians 4:6). He has called us to remain confident in His promises.
As Christians, we can demonstrate a strong faith to the world around us by our firm confidence in God’s watch-care over His own children.
We look forward to seeing you soon, and serving the Lord together.
In Christ,
Kendall Park Baptist Church
